Peter was selected to represent the element Roentgenium in the IUPAC Periodic Table of Younger Chemists as part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the IUPAC and the international year of the periodic table in 2019.

The selection of Roentgenium 111 is particularly exciting since Peter studied chemistry in Würzburg (Germany) where Conrad Röntgen discovered the x-rays.
In 2004, in honour of Röntgens accomplishments, the IUPAC named the radioactive element 111 after him.
